As the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) results of the 2019 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examinations (UTME) was released on the 11th of May, the board has announced that a 15-year-old boy from Abia State has emerged the best-scoring candidate with 347 score, which the UTME board says is the highest recorded in the 2019 Examination.
We also confirmed that similarly, a 16-year-old boy from same Abia State came second by scoring 346 marks just as a 17-year-old from Osun State trailed behind with 345, and these are the top 3 Best 2019 UTME results.
Speaking on this issue, the Registrar of JAMB, Prof Is-haq Oloyede who announced the names and scores of 2019 best JAMB performers at a media briefing, Saturday, says the best candidate may not be admitted into the University of Lagos (UNILAG), which he chose as his first choice due to his age. (You must be 16 and above before applying for admission into Unilag)
He gave the name of the three best candidates as follows:
Ekene Franklin, Abia State scores 347.
Igban Emmanuel Chidiebube, in Abia state, comes second and scored 346,
While Oluwo Isaac Olamilekan from Osun State came third and scored 345.
However, Prof. Is-haq Oloyede failed to disclose the intended courses of the best-performing candidates.
